Each dot painting is, in practice, the technique of breath counting based on buddhist meditation. This type of meditation focuses on drawing mental attention to breathing by counting numerically through inhale and exhale. This strength-building exercise for the mind cleanses away distracting thoughts and builds concentration power.

In our lives, we are inundated with stressors, reminders of things needed or things to accomplish. We forget to take time to quiet our minds and find peace within

Each of these paintings are focused on circular shapes, layer after layer of circles. Reminding the viewer to focus on the ebb and flow of their own

breath, while counting the seemingly infinite pattern of circles within circles and dispelling with negativities, distractions, and quieting the mind.
